Altered Book CHRISTMAS ANGELS

Altered Book CHRISTMAS ANGELS. This my latest book and probably the last one I publish this year. I have some other books to photograph and post here but I believe I will only be able to do it in 2006. I will have a knee surgery in a near future and it will keep me away from the computer, and worst, from my studio.
If you would like to see this book on eBay, just click on the title.

Cold Porcelain Recipe

Cold porcelain recipe

1cup cornstarch
1 cup Elmer’s glue all
1tablespoon liquid Vaseline (you can find it in a drugstore /pharmacy)
1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice
1tablespoon cold cream
Stir all the ingredients in a bowl, except the cold cream. Put in the microwave oven for 3 minutes. Stir every 1 minute. Remove from bowl and mix thoroughly with hands. Use the cold cream. Do not refrigerate. Keep in an airtight bag. Use as you would any modeling paste, can be molded in many ways. I use oil paints to tint it. You can tint small portions of the dough and keep it airtight. After modeling your pieces let them dry for some days.
You can use it without tinting it and only paint after it is dry. Or use it as it dries, lightly transparent.

ATC ACEO cards using cold porcelain embelishments

I used collage, assemblage and decoupage on these cards. They can be used as Christmas ornaments. The tiny Siamese cats re prints from my oil paintingsdecoupaged onto the cold porcelain hearts.
